Resume lies

Do we lie in our resume to get a job.Yes, we do so, about 60-70% people lie. To know more about resume lying, read the following.

Top resume lies
1. Lying about getting a degree
2.Faking dates about the degree
3. Exaggerating numbers - both about the income and profits for the previous company
4. Increasing previous salary
5. Inflating titles
6. Lying about of technical abilities
7.Claiming language fluency
8.Fake address
9. Padding up the grades

So most people think it is OK to lie, but one should always remember
"Whenever you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said"

  • Good one this Ro!

I had an unfortunate experience to interview candidates for ACTS Diploma in VLSI Design. Although there were few good candidates but rest (a lot, mostly from AP) with false resume and past Project-work details (they could not explain those too!)

One example of a girl mentioning herself worked as Assistant Lecturer and had done Floating Point Processor on FPGA; but she hardly could do minor Digital Logic. Moreover she in no way looked or behaved like an experienced lecturer!

Such is the condition in India (esp. AP/UP), and it won't be shocking if they did the same thing abroad!

    Whaddya say?
